CANMORE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: CORNERSTONE THEATRE & QUARRY LAKE WEDDING

CANMORE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: CORNERSTONE THEATRE & QUARRY LAKE WEDDING

I originally met Darran & Yvonne on Kijiji, when I was on the search for some bed-side lamps. When I showed up at their home, Yvonne asked to see some wedding packages! Needless to say, it was a random meeting that brought us to this wedding day, but I could not be happier that I met these two. Right from their engagement session – I could not wait to see them in their wedding garb. Kilts & a stunning lace dress make me a very happy photographer!

We began the morning in Canmore at the Blackstone Mountain Lodge with Darran & his bridal party for some quick groom getting ready photos. The getting ready process is a lot more complicated when the men are wearing that many layers!

After spending some time with Darran, we made our way over to Rapunzels AVEDA Salon & Spa in Canmore to meet with the gorgeous Yvonne, who was getting her hair and makeup done.

After some time at the salon, we made our way over to the Solara Resort, where Yvonne had rented an Air BnB to get ready.

It was a record hot wedding for the summer thus far – with 34 degrees in the sun on top of the hill by Quarry Lake. We had a couple of very short cloudy moments, but it was mainly just VERY hot. Yvonne followed a bagpipe player into the ceremony location for her grand reveal.

After the ceremony, we needed a break from the sun – so we made our way just North of Quarry Lake for some bridal party photos in the trees.

In order to get a bit of change of scenery, we drove 10 minutes to the Old Railway Bridge in Canmore for a few last bridal party photos, and to focus on the gorgeous bride & groom.

The clouds rolled in for the last hour of our formals, which allowed us to get some perfect shots on the Old Railway bridge with Darran & Yvonne. After the formals, we made our way over to Cornerstone Theatre for their reception. That hall is absolutely stunning to photograph in.
