DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: GRAND PALLADIUM JAMAICA WEDDING

Cassandra & Jonathan knew exactly how to do a destination wedding right – in Jamaica at the stunning Grand Palladium Jamaica. Although we were cutting it close to rainy season, and although it rained most of the day – we ended up with some absolutely stunning images with a LOT of raindrops included!

The day started at the Grand Palladium Spa at the Bridal Preparation area, where I met Cassandra and all of her girls. There was a lot of anxious energy! Cassandra got dressed in the spa, before we headed outside to meet with Jonathan for a blind-folded first look.

Cassandra wanted to do a first look – but with a twist. She wanted to be able to talk to Jonathan before they said “I do” but she wanted to save the real first look for when she walked down the aisle. It was a very sweet and beautiful moment!

The wedding ceremony took place at on the beach at 2pm – right before the rain started to pour down onto us. Luckily, it only started raining just before their first kiss, so we were able to flee the area before anyone got too wet!

The pouring rain forced us to take most of the bridal party formals under cover – luckily the Grand Palladium has all sorts of beautiful architecture in the lobby & surrounding area.

Luckily, the rain stopped for about an hour – just long enough to get a couple of quick group photos on the beach and for us to spend some time with the gorgeous bride & groom! All of these beach photos were taken by the Beer Hut area.

We got the most rain during the reception – but luckily we were hidden under a tent. A few guests enjoyed dancing in the puddles after a delicious meal – nobody let the rain dampen their spirits!

Like any perfect wedding day that has rain – I love to take advantage of those magical drops. At this point, nobody cared about getting wet, so I stole Cassandra & Jonathan away for a few last night shots
