ALEXIS + IAN RUSTIC WEDDING
Photos are of important memories, preserved and displayed for yourself, your family, and your friends. Amy (RedTree Photography) made our day personal and fun. Neither me or my husband consider ourselves photogentic, but when we got our wedding photos back we were so extremely pleased by the result. She captured all the fun and all the love we had on that day.—Alexis Veenendal, Bride
This blog post in particular is extremely personal and special to me. This is a documentation of the rustic wedding between my lovely little sister Alexis Reber and her new husband, Ian Veenendaal. These two are not just my brother and sister, but they also happen to be my husband and I’s best friends.
I was my sister’s matron of honour, and my husband Ryan was the best man. I was so excited to take some images for them during their special day while also having an honorary spot in their wedding. Here are a few images of the getting ready (I only took a few, because of course I needed to experience it myself as well), and then finally some of the couple.
Alexis got ready at Inspirations Salon & Spas in Camrose, Alberta where she got her hair and makeup done.

I couldn’t help but to take a few images during the getting ready process at the Rosebush Tea House just south of Camrose, Alberta. The antique wooden furniture made for a beautiful backdrop for this rustic wedding. The images above were actually taken in the Bed and Breakfast at the Rosebush Tea House.
Of course, being the matron of honour, I was not able to take any images of the wedding ceremony itself – but here are some images of the beautiful bride and groom! Although it was chilly, they definitely managed to stay joyful! I just love those fall colours in the background beginning to bloom.
The amazing bouquet above was created by the extremely talented Daniella Zemlak, and it worked perfectly to add a pop to their rustic wedding. I refer Daniella to my brides as a florist all the time, because I have never been disappointed by her amazing arrangements.
The Rosebush Tea House makes for an amazing spot for wedding photos. To find out more about them (and their amazing lunches) like them on facebook HERE.
Who doesn’t love a farm wedding? Photos taken in the field at harvest can be some of my favourite wedding photos ever. Next, we drove back down to the Tea House for some antique car photos!
A beautiful wedding for some of the best people I have ever known!
