NOW AMBER PUERTO VALLARTA DESTINATION WEDDING
Amy & Evan have a beautiful and unique love story that was many years in the making. From the first days when they met at the grocery store (Evan would always go through Amy’s line up – even when she was working the express lane and he had more than 12 items – REBEL!) to the day that Evan proposed on Amy’s 31st birthday – these two were inseparable. This is the story of their proposal (from Evan’s perspective):
It was the first time that I had been home for Amy’s birthday in 6 years. Amy’s birthday is the most important time of the year for Amy. She gets super excited and we joke around saying that June is “birthday” month. It was raining that day and was pretty chilly, so I lit a fire in the fireplace. I told Amy that I wanted to give her her birthday present, but first she had to read the card. I had written in the card about how lucky I was to be with her and how I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life. When she was reading I got down on one knee in front of the fireplace. She didn’t know what was happening until I opened the ring box. – Evan (groom)
Amy & Evan got married at the Now Amber in Puerto Vallarta on a hot April day – and everything about the day was perfect from Amy’s gorgeous Alfred Angelo gown to the fireworks at the end of the night. Here are a few of the bride & groom’s favourite memories:
My favorite moment was seeing Evan at the first look photos. He looked very handsome and I was so happy to see him and just take a second to soak in the special day. I was also really happy when he was reading his vows, they were such sweet word and I will cherish them forever – Amy (bride)
My favourite memory from the wedding day was the first look. Amy looked absolutely stunning and I was pretty emotional thinking about how lucky I was and how in love I am with her. I will never forget how I felt at that moment. – Evan (groom)
Amy got ready in the bridal suite at the Secrets Vallarta while Evan got ready in their room in the preferred section of the resort.
These are some of the vendors that made this wedding day possible:

Groom’s Outfit: Eddies Menswear

Amy & Evan decided to do a “First Look” on their wedding day – and I am so happy that they did. It was such a sweet and intimate moment that was an absolute pleasure to witness & photograph. No wonder that it was one of their favourite memories of the day.
Amy and Evan’s wedding ceremony took place in the lobby overlooking the ocean and the Now Amber resort. There was a very nice breeze coming through keeping everyone nice and cool!
After the ceremony, we went to the back of the resort for some photos by the entertainment area – they had a beautiful stage that made for some gorgeous images!
Next, we made our way over to the Secrets side for some bridal party photos against this unique art wall.
Then of course, there is my favourite time of day – the bride & groom formals. These two were so natural and photogenic that it made my job easy!
The reception was much hotter than expected, so they added some umbrellas to the area to keep everyone cool!
Amy & Evan were fantastic because they were willing to let me steal them away for some sunset photos, and even one night photo at the end by the pool! I LOVE Puerto Vallarta for their beach sunsets!
