AZUL FIVES PLAYA DEL CARMEN DESTINATION WEDDING
AZUL FIVES PLAYA DEL CARMEN DESTINATION WEDDING
I had an amazing time at the Azul Fives by Karisma with Kayla & Mike for their destination wedding! We had absolutely stunning weather with nothing but blue skys and a nice breeze to keep us cool. Their wedding day was absolutely perfect from Kayla’s gorgeous dress to all of their DIY decor! It’s always wonderful to hear how the bride & groom met, so here are a few words from our lovely bride:
We originally met when I started working at Epcor in 2012. We developed a friendship that year and began dating the following summer in 2013. Mike proposed at our home the week before Christmas in 2016. We went out for dinner and he had our roommate at the time decorate the living room at our house. Lined a path with roses and candles and at the end there was a sign that said “will you marry me?”. – Kayla, Bride

After spending time with the guys, I made may way over to the Vassa Spa, where the gorgeous Kayla & Amber were getting ready! After their hair and makeup was done, we made our way over to Kayla’s hotel room in building 15.

Kayla & Mike decided to do a “First Look” before their ceremony, and I am so happy that they did! I just love all of the emotion. Kayla said it was one of their favourite memories of the day:
Our favourite memory from our wedding day was our first look before the ceremony. We were both really excited to see each other. We meet in construction so it was nice to see each other dressed up and not in coveralls. We also both loved the amazing views from our sky deck ceremony. We will never forget the sun shining down on us and listening to the breeze of the ocean and palm trees in the background. – Kayla, Bride
We took some formals before the ceremony, and some after. First, some images of their first look:
Since Kayla & Mike chose to have a small bridal party, we were able to have them tag along the whole time, and we were able to get a LOT of great images together!
After some formals before the ceremony, we made our way up to the sky deck where all of their friends and family were waiting.
After the ceremony, we took some family photos overlooking the ocean, and then took some more formals until the reception started! I love sunset photos on the beach!
Finally, I photographed their reception which took place by the main pool by the beach – everything about it was just stunning.
