BEST OF 2019: Weddings, Engagements & More!

With 2019 coming to an end, I have had a chance to reminisce about all of the wonderful moments we have been a part of – and I LOVE this time of year, because I get to take a look back and select some of my favourite imagery from each of those sessions!

Thank you so much for the 29 couples who asked us to photograph their weddings in 2019, and to the countless others who hired us for other sessions! I truly believe that we have the best job in the world, and we have been so blessed to have the best clients imaginable!

2019 began with my beautiful cousin, Jordyn getting engaged. Of course, I just had to take the opportunity to gift them an engagement session as their wedding gift!

Speaking of family and big moments, my older sister had identical twin baby boys in 2019, so we photographed her maternity session at my parents farm when the frost was just perfect!

Back to reality, and after some wonderful Christmas holidays with family – I met with Megan & Brandon for their engagement session at the YEG Ice Castles!

At the beginning of January, we planned a stylized session with the wonderful team at the Hotel Macdonald. Since then, we have become the “preferred photographer” of the hotel. We have such a wonderful partnership! This session was published in Confetti Magazine!

In February, my husband Ryan had his placement in Taber, so I was able to meet with some Southern Alberta clients for sessions. First of which, Courtney (it was -30 with windchill – BRRR)!

Babies, babies, and more babies! My sister & brother in law welcomed their first baby while we in Taber, so I was able to gift them a newborn session!

In March, we were back in Edmonton for some winter sessions! First, I met with Steph for her engagement session at Whitemud Creek!

March will always be a memorable month in 2019, since my baby nephews were born! It is SO crazy how tiny they used to be!!!

Speaking of little ones, Shawna & Nick made the trip up to Edmonton so that I could photograph their sweet little girl, Carter!

One of my couples for 2020, Ashley & Nick met with me at Hawrelak Park for their winter engagement session!

With the snow melting, we finally started to get some epic sunsets and warmer weather!

Becca & Dylan had their beautiful baby girl in April.

Ashton & Wes met me at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park for their engagement session by the docks.

Justine & Bobby did their engagement session at my parents farm!

I don’t photograph a lot of grads, but I’m not really sure why, because I LOVE it! These grad photos were taken by Taber.

My first wedding of the year was at the Hotel Macdonald with Eva & Louis! I met them at the wedding showcase at the hotel!

With Spring comes family sessions! I loved working with these families before the craziness of Wedding season began!

Annetta & Scott met with me at Forest Heights Park and downtown for some fun engagement photos.

I had such an amazing time with Amanda for her wedding south of the city!

I met Yasaman at the Hotel Macdonald showcase in 2019, and I am so happy I did, these two booked me for their wedding by Vancouver for 2020.

Ben & Kayleen’s wedding took place at a Golf Club west of the city. They had quite the party!

Leah got married at the RedTail Landing Golf Club south of the city! There was so much emotion at this wedding, and rain at the end of the day!

Keshia & Aviskar had a Hindu Wedding in Edmonton – this was my first Indian wedding, and I definitely fell in love! I’m excited to photograph more in 2020!

Jem & Matt got married at Hope City Church in South Edmonton!

Bobby & Justine got married at the museum in Wetaskiwin! It was such a unique and cool venue!

Ashton & Wes got married on their property just outside of the city. Farm weddings are my jam. Fun fact, this was the first time I had worked with smoke bombs!

Courtney got married in Medicine Hat at a historical venue called Beveridge Landmark Events!

After so many weddings in a row (August is always crazy), I was able to slow down and get some engagement photos with Nancy!

Amy & Stuart got married at the Rugby Club, and we finally had a warm day!

Meredith & Konstantin got married at the Calgary Zoo! We have been on the preferred vendor list at the zoo for several years now, and I will never get sick of shooting there!

I had back to back weddings at the zoo – the next one was with Melissa & Lloyd!

As September & October rolled around, Family sessions & Maternity started back up again!

With the beautiful fall colours, these two met me at my parents farm south of the city for their session!

My last fall wedding was at the Whitewood Barn with Annetta & Scott! This was our first wedding at the barn, but we have since made a great connection with Chris (the owner) and have been added to their “preferred vendor” list. You will see us at their wedding showcase in February!

Usually our September and December are decently slow – NOT this year. This year, we had many sessions throughout our “slow season”. Here are a few favourite snowy images.

In December, I had a couple different “Newborn Lifestyle” sessions. First with Kayla & Matty, and then with Charlotte & Daniel!

I love how tough my couples are – they are willing to shoot in the snow, the rain, or the ridiculously cold weather! Here are a few from my last sessions of the year!

I cannot wait to see what 2020 has in store for us! We are shooting at so many beautiful venues! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
