Winter Engagement Session at the Covered Bridge | Kayla & Nik

Kristina photographed Kayla & Nik’s engagement session last week at the stunning Covered Bridge, and it was the perfect example of why we love winter engagement sessions so much.

There’s something so peaceful about a winter morning session in Sherwood Park—the quiet, the fresh snow, and that soft, glowing light you just can’t replicate any other time of year. Kayla & Nik embraced it all, meeting Kristina early in the morning when the light was at its absolute best. The way the sunlight filtered through the trees and reflected off the snow created the most beautiful, natural glow around them.

The Covered Bridge is always a favorite location for engagement sessions, but in the winter, it takes on a whole new level of charm. The neutral tones of the wood paired with the crisp white snow make it such a timeless backdrop, especially for couples wanting that classic Alberta winter feel.

Kayla & Nik were incredible to photograph—so relaxed, connected, and clearly excited for this season of their lives. Sessions like this are such a reminder that winter engagement photos in Sherwood Park can be just as breathtaking (if not more!) than any other season.

If you’re considering a winter engagement session at the Covered Bridge in Sherwood Park, this is your sign—embrace the cold, trust the process, and you might just end up with some of the most beautiful light and images of your entire engagement season.
