BEST OF 2021: Weddings, Engagements & More!

With 2021 coming to an end, I have had a chance to reminisce about all of the wonderful moments we have been a part of – and I LOVE this time of year, because I get to take a look back and select some of my favourite imagery from each of those sessions!

Thank you so much for the couples who asked us to photograph their weddings in 2021, and to the countless others who hired us for other sessions! I truly believe that we have the best job in the world, and we have been so blessed to have the best clients imaginable!

We have still not reached our regular “normal” for shooting weddings (pre-pandemic), but 2022 is going to be a crazy year.

My very first session of 2021 was with Ian & Aly at a new location by my parents farm:

When Christmas Holidays were over, I met with Melissa for her mini family session:

January was a very cold month, but I photographed some families regardless!

Holly & Kyle welcomed their first baby, Oliver!

2021 was a little bit different for me, since I actually had knee surgery from a baseball injury in February, so I wasn’t back to shooting until May. My first session back was a session down in Drumheller as well as a wedding down in Lethbridge.

My first wedding back in Lethbridge was so much fun!

My first engagement session back was with Kat & Mike at the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens with the blossoms!

In the Spring I was able to photograph with some amazing vendors at the Cornerstone in YEG for a stylized ladies shoot!

Homer & Ley got married in their backyard!

One of my past brides welcomed their first baby that month – so adorable.

At the end of June I made the trip out to Jasper for a dream elopement with Jordan & Jack.

We made our way to Whitewood Barn for some stylized bridal party themed photos with a lama!

Remember Melissa? She photographed with me twice in 2021 – once being a 4 Generations session.

Ashley & Nick got married at the Foundry Room in Fort Saskatchewan, and then we made our way over to the Alberta art building for some photos!

Kat & Michael got married at Pine and Pond!

I photographed a lot of families this year, including the Mitchells a couple of times! First, their maternity session in Blackmud Creek.

Speaking of maternity sessions – Annetta & Scott had theirs at a new location that I found in Magrath Heights!

Cassandra got married in the coolest little restaurant on Whyte Avenue – we did photos at the granaries in St.Albert and on the Edmonton Street Car!

A lot of my past brides were having babies this year – including Nancy!

Kayla & Maddy welcomed a new baby this summer!

And so did Kylie & Daz!

Jessica & Ross booked a sweet little family session with me at MacTaggart!

I photographed Mairi’s engagement session!

And before we knew it, Annetta & Scott’s baby arrived!

I was able to shoot at the Botanical Gardens again with Khatidja!

I was able to photograph Jill’s family twice this year!

I took some photos of my own family members this fall as well! Aren’t my kids adorable?

Lisa & Logan got married at Copper Creek Barn!

I have the pleasure of photographing Amanda’s family every year, and I love watching these little ones grow.

I photograph my nephews every year as well.

I did one final stylized shoot at Canopy Creek Ranch with some amazing vendors:

I met Kas for her family session overlooking the Meeting Creek River Valley.

Lian & Ken met me by my parents farm for some photos!

I met Janelle for the first time for their family photos at Mactaggart!

Remember Jill? I was able to photograph her extended family in St.Albert!

Aurora is the most gorgeous twin momma ever –

I made the trip to Canmore for a couple last sessions – Caitlins engagement, and my final wedding of the year.

My last wedding of the year (partially due to the fact that I was already over 3o weeks pregnant) – Kelsey & David.

My last two outdoor sessions of the year – Mistie & Aaron’s family, and finally, my engagement session with Erin!

I love photographing on Whyte Ave!

And finally, I had one last newborn session at Hey You Studio!
