Getting Ready with Family

The morning began at the DoubleTree Hilton West Edmonton, where Iara got ready with the help of two very important women in her life — her aunt and cousin. Both had traveled from Chile, and their outfits, brought from home, carried a piece of family and heritage into the day.

Iara’s stunning gown came from Urban Bride, paired with a delicate bolero she found on Etsy (Alex Bridal). For hair and makeup, Harriet of Westcott Wedding Artistry created a classic bridal look that highlighted Iara’s natural beauty.

Meanwhile, Chai looked sharp in his tailored suit from Harry Rosen, perfectly complementing Iara’s timeless style.

A Meaningful Ceremony at St. Basil’s

Their ceremony took place at St. Basil’s Church, a space filled with light and tradition. With family and friends gathered, Iara and Chai exchanged vows in a heartfelt service led by their priest. The soaring architecture of the church gave the ceremony a sense of grandeur, while the emotions of the moment kept everything deeply personal.

Flowers & Personal Touches

The flowers by Laurel’s on Whyte brought warmth and vibrance to both the ceremony and reception. Orchids — fun fact, sourced from T&T — were tucked into the designs, making the arrangements extra unique. Since the couple chose to keep their décor minimal, the florals truly became the star of the styling.

Celebrating at the DoubleTree Hilton West

With Cocktails and Details coordinating the day, everything flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception. Guests gathered at the DoubleTree Hilton West, where the night unfolded with laughter, toasts, and plenty of dancing. DJ Nav from DJ Kwake’s company kept the dance floor buzzing until the very end, and the energy in the room was infectious.

The cake, created by Wildrose Cakes, was as delicious as it was beautiful — one of those showpiece desserts that guests couldn’t stop talking about.

Thoughtful Details Guests Loved

One of the couple’s favourite details was their wedding favours: chocolates from Jacek Chocolate. Each box featured an adorable cartoon from Wawawiwa Comics, adding a playful, personal touch that guests absolutely adored.

When it came time to leave, Iara and Chai made their exit in style in a sleek Lincoln sedan from Prestige, a quiet, elegant ending to a day filled with joy.
