There are some weddings that feel especially meaningful to photograph, and this one was exactly that. I had the joy of reconnecting with the Plumb family again—this time for Megan and Jordan’s intimate elopement at the iconic Fairmont Hotel Macdonald.

Megan and Jordan chose the beautiful Lois Hole Suite for their ceremony, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. The suite at the Fairmont Macdonald offers an intimate, elegant atmosphere with classic details that make it ideal for small weddings and elopements in Edmonton.

The soft light, refined architecture, and quiet privacy of the space created such a romantic backdrop for their vows. It’s one of those locations where everything feels intentional and timeless.

Why I love photographing at the Fairmont Macdonald

The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is truly one of Edmonton’s most iconic wedding venues. Whether it’s a full celebration or a small elopement in the Lois Hole Suite, it always delivers classic luxury and incredible portrait locations.

After the ceremony, we stepped outside and explored the surrounding hotel grounds and river valley views. The architecture alone provides endless opportunities for elegant, editorial-style portraits, and it’s a dream location for couples who want a mix of indoor sophistication and outdoor scenery.

Megan and Jordan are such a perfect match, and their day reflected exactly that—calm, connected, and deeply meaningful. Their elopement was all about keeping things simple and focused on what matters most.
