MATRIX HOTEL EDMONTON WEDDING: ALBERTA LEGISLATURE BUILDING

A few days before Jody & Alwin tied the knot, Samantha met with Jody for her henna ceremony! This was our first time photographing such an event, so I was just amazed by the intricacy of the henna – so much talented from that henna artist! Then of course, Jody & Alwin got married at the Matrix Hotel on a beautiful cloud-covered day. I LOVE that they decided to do their formals at the Legislature as well as the Ice District, because it gave them amazing variety for their photos! I am so excited to share a few of my favourite images that Samantha & Kristina took!

How they met: We met 12 years ago in Grande Prairie through our mutual friend, Alex and moved to Edmonton 3 years later to pursue our careers.
Favourite Wedding Memories: There are many memories that stand out from our wedding day, but the ones that stand out the most would be at our ceremony. Seeing Alwins face for the first time as I walked down the aisle and saying our vows together. Next would have to be our first dances and photos with the wedding party. It was an absolute perfect day.
Finally, their wedding day had arrived!
Next, they made their way over to where Jody was getting ready!
Jody & Alwin’s ceremony took place at the Matrix Hotel in Edmonton.
They made their way over to downtown Edmonton in the Ice District for the remainder of their formals.
Their reception took place at the Matrix Hotel.
