There’s something about Mill Creek Ravine South that just never misses — no matter the season, the light, or the couple. And Lauren & Austin’s engagement session? Absolute magic.

We met up in Mill Creek Ravine South surrounded by soft, filtered light coming through the trees, and right away I knew this one was going to be special. These two showed up in head-to-toe denim, fully embracing that iconic 90’s power couple energy — and honestly, I’m still not over it.

Denim-on-denim is one of those bold choices that just works when it’s done right. It felt effortless, nostalgic, and completely true to them. Against the natural textures of the ravine — the muted winter tones, the soft pathways, the quiet stillness — their look popped in the best way without feeling overdone.

But beyond the style (which, yes… obsessed), it was their connection that made this session. Lauren & Austin were so playful and easy together — the kind of couple that falls into laughter without trying. Those in-between moments, the subtle glances, the way they just fit — that’s the magic you can’t fake.

Mill Creek Ravine South continues to be one of my favourite locations for engagement sessions in Edmonton. It has this timeless, romantic feel while still giving every session its own unique look depending on the season and light. Pair that with a couple who isn’t afraid to lean into their style — like a full denim moment — and it’s truly the perfect combination.
