Mother’s Day Floral Studio Session | Edmonton Family Photographer

This past week I had the chance to photograph the sweetest little studio session with Leah and her adorable kids as part of a collaboration with Kate Backdrop. It was such a fun afternoon in the studio, and the kids brought so much personality and sweetness to the session.

For this shoot, we used a beautiful neutral floral backdrop that instantly felt perfect for Mother’s Day–inspired photos. I’m always drawn to backdrops that feel soft and timeless while still adding a little visual interest, and this one did exactly that. The subtle floral arch and textured tones created the perfect setting for family portraits while keeping the focus right where it belongs — on the connection between mom and her kids.

Leah’s kids were absolutely adorable together. They were playful, sweet with each other, and gave me so many genuine moments to capture. Sessions like this are a great reminder that sometimes the simplest setups — beautiful light, a thoughtfully designed backdrop, and a sweet family — are all you need to create meaningful images.
