PIGEON LAKE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY: CABIN WEDDING

PIGEON LAKE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY: CABIN WEDDING

You never know where you may find the love of your life. In Julie & Ben’s case, it was when the both swiped right (Tinder). These two beautiful people got married at the family cabin out by Pigeon Lake, and the backdrop was a photographers dream!

Vendors that made this day possible:

Photographer: Amy Moedt, Owner/Photographer at RedTree Photography

Second Shooter: Kristina Felker

Bridal Gown: Deza’s Wedding Dress Store, Calgary

Design: Justin Alexander

Hair/Makeup: Jordann from Tommie Salon

Groom’s Outfit: Thrift Store, Moore’s & The Bay

Officiant: Lea Ann Elder

Decor: DIY

The Venue: Ben’s parents bought the land to the cabin over 40 years ago. They built the cabin with their own two hands and hand tools in 1976. Ben’s parents generously gave us land to use and Ben and I built the trail on the north side of the property in 2016 & 2017.  Ben was thinking of proposing to me and my log lifting and tractor driving helped finalize his decision during our time building the trail. We were beyond excited to have our wedding ceremony in such a special place on the land and our trail.

Favourite Memory:
We have a lot of amazing memories but the BEST part was walking down the isle towards Ben and being surrounded by those we cherish most. ♥️ – Bride, Julie
Next, we made our way to their family cabin for some getting ready photos with Ben.
They opted to do a “First Look” at the cabin before their outdoor wedding.
After a very sweet first look, we took their formals around the cabin.
Next, we made our way down the path to where the ceremony was being held outdoors.
We made our way back to the cabin for some family photos and photos with friends – and then to the village at Pigeon Lake for a few last formals.
