Samantha spent a couple of hours with Katie & Jeff in Ponoka for their intimate farm wedding that was 12 years in the making. I am absolutely in love with Katies dress that she purchased in Vancouver with the intricate lace overlay – so beautiful!

The love story:
Jeff and I met through a friend of mine how had moved here to Alberta and was dating Jeffs roommate. I lived in BC at the time and came here to visit and of course met Jeff in passing and I never left. We started our family early in our relationship and there was never a right time to get married but one day we decided to stop putting it off and after (2 months after)the birth of our 5th daughter and 12 years later, we made of official. My favourite part of the wedding was everything about the ceremony, the nature, the music, looking out to seeing my kids, and family and basically just being surrounded by people I love. Jeffs favourite part was when he walked out his 5 year old looked at him a said “wow dad, you look like a prince!” And at that moment he knew having your kids at your wedding wasn’t as “backward” as he thought. – Katie, bride
