Kristina recently met up with Samantha and Stephan for their engagement session at Mactaggart Sanctuary—one of our absolute favourite locations for engagement photos in the Edmonton area. With its winding forest trails, open natural spaces, and beautiful light, it’s the perfect setting for couples who want a romantic, nature-inspired session.

As Edmonton engagement photographers, we’re always watching for that first hint of spring—and it’s finally starting to show. There’s something so special about this in-between season: the snow has melted, the air feels fresh again, and subtle touches of green begin to emerge. It creates a soft, earthy backdrop that photographs beautifully and adds so much depth and texture to your images.

Samantha and Stephan’s session was the perfect way to kick off this seasonal shift. They were so natural together, bringing such an easy connection and warmth to their photos.
