Josie and Brandon’s engagement session at Blackmud Creek was the perfect reminder that winter engagement photos in Edmonton can be absolutely stunning. Megan met up with them at this beautiful south Edmonton location, and while the temperatures were definitely on the cold side, the scenery and connection between these two made the session completely worth it.

Blackmud Creek is one of our favorite locations for engagement photos in Edmonton, especially during the winter months. The winding trails, tall trees, and open spaces create a timeless and natural backdrop, even when everything is dusted with frost. The quiet beauty of the creek paired so well with Josie and Brandon’s relaxed and genuine energy together.

Despite the chilly weather, Josie and Brandon were total pros. They embraced the cold, stayed close, and focused on each other, which always results in the most natural and heartfelt images. Winter engagement sessions often bring a sense of intimacy, and this session was no exception. There’s something incredibly romantic about cozying up together while surrounded by winter landscapes.
