There’s something so special about photographing families as they grow, and Katrina and Daniel’s little family is one we’ve loved being part of over the years. Megan had the opportunity to photograph their family session today at Mill Creek Ravine South in Edmonton, and we couldn’t resist sharing a few previews!

Gavin is growing up so quickly, and it’s always such a privilege to watch our clients’ families change and grow from one session to the next. One of our favourite parts of being Edmonton family photographers is getting to photograph all of those big moments — and all of the little ones in between.

Family Photography at Mill Creek Ravine South

Mill Creek Ravine South is one of our favourite locations for family photography in Edmonton. The beautiful trails, tall grasses, mature trees, and natural surroundings create a relaxed and timeless setting for family photos.

It’s also a wonderful location for families with young children because there is plenty of space to explore and move around. Rather than expecting everyone to stand perfectly still and smile at the camera, we love allowing kids to be themselves. Some of the best family photographs happen while everyone is walking, playing, cuddling, or simply enjoying time together.

For Katrina, Daniel, and Gavin, the natural setting at Mill Creek was the perfect backdrop for capturing their family just as they are right now.

We especially love photographing families here during the summer and early fall when the greenery and grasses create a beautiful, natural backdrop.
