Amira & Sajad’s Engagement Party at the Delta South Edmonton | Top of the Inn

This past weekend, Kristina photographed Amira & Sajad’s engagement party at the Top of the Inn at the Delta South Edmonton, and it was such a fun night to be part of.

Engagement parties always have a different kind of energy—less structured than a wedding day, but just as meaningful. The room was full of people who clearly love these two, and you could feel that in every interaction, from the hugs at the door to the packed dance floor later in the evening.

We also have to say… we love a dark venue. The Top of the Inn gave us that moodier, low-light setting that can feel a bit intimidating at first, but is honestly where things get really creative for us. It forces us to slow down, look for the light, and lean into the atmosphere of the space. There’s so much depth in those kinds of images—something that just feels a little more real and a little more intimate.

Amira & Sajad made it easy. They’re surrounded by such a great group of people, and there was no shortage of genuine moments throughout the night. Lots of laughter, lots of connection, and the kind of celebration that reminds us why we love documenting these in-between milestones just as much as the wedding day itself.

We’re so glad we got to be there for it.
