Elegant DIY Wedding at GraceLife Church and Prospector’s Point | Edmonton Wedding Photographers
A heartfelt celebration filled with personal touches, stunning florals by Luyah Farm, and timeless moments captured by Megan, associate photographer at RedTree Photography.
Some weddings are so full of love and intention that you can feel it in every detail—and this one was just that. Megan had the absolute joy of documenting this gorgeous couple’s day, set against the scenic backdrop of Prospector’s Point. From the meaningful heirloom shoes to the heartfelt community of volunteers who brought the vision to life, this wedding was a celebration of love, family, and togetherness in every sense.
The bride looked radiant in a gown from Simply White Bridal, complemented by heirloom shoes she wore to her sister’s wedding ten years ago. Her jewelry was a beautiful mix: earrings from Hillberg & Berk, bracelets from Ardene, and rings from an independent jeweler—proof that you don’t need big-name designers to look like a queen.
Her bridesmaids wore dreamy dresses from Ivy City and Co, perfectly soft and romantic for the natural setting. The groom and his groomsmen kept it sharp with tuxes from Tip Top Tailors, paired with custom bow ties and pocket squares from Etsy. The entire bridal party had a relaxed, effortless vibe—right down to their Soft Moc shoes.
Hair was styled by a close friend, @lindseyloveshair, and makeup was done by a family friend—making the getting ready process feel personal and relaxed. The florals were lovingly crafted by another friend, Jacilyn of Luyah Farm, tying the whole aesthetic together with wild, seasonal blooms.
This couple chose to forgo a wedding planner and DJ, opting instead for a deeply meaningful, DIY-style celebration. The bride handled all the planning herself, and the decor—sourced from Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, and Luyah Farm—was brought to life by a team of dedicated volunteers who also attended the wedding. It was truly a labor of love.
For the ceremony and reception, guests enjoyed a feast catered by HT Catering and Meats, followed by a cake from Grandin Bakery that looked as delicious as it tasted. Pastor Adam officiated the ceremony, creating a heartfelt atmosphere as the couple exchanged vows.
And while there was no limo, the bride and groom were chauffeured in a GMC Sierra by the bride’s own parents—a sweet, sentimental touch that perfectly matched the tone of the day.
Every element of this wedding reflected the couple’s values—community, family, and authenticity. Kristina did an amazing job capturing the warmth, laughter, and quiet moments of connection throughout the day. It was an honor to be a small part of something so beautifully personal.
Congratulations again to the happy couple—we’re so thrilled for you!
