Engagement Photos at Mill Creek Ravine | Marielle & Damien

Last week, Megan met up with Marielle and Damien for their engagement session down in Mill Creek Ravine, and the timing could not have been more perfect.

We were gifted the most beautiful golden winter sunlight — that soft glow filtering through the trees and wrapping everything in warmth. Even in the colder months, this Edmonton location never disappoints. The winding trails, natural textures, and open pockets of light make it such a stunning backdrop for engagement photos.

Marielle and Damien were completely at ease together. There was so much laughter, so many cozy moments, and that effortless connection that makes sessions feel relaxed and genuine. It felt like one of those rare Alberta winter days where everything just works.

And just in time — because this week a major blizzard is rolling in with a lot of fresh snow. Winter sessions can always be a bit unpredictable in Edmonton, but sometimes you luck out with one last beautiful day before the deep freeze and heavy snowfall arrive. We’re hoping we won’t have to reschedule too many sessions over the next couple of weeks, but if we do, at least the city will look magical under a fresh blanket of snow.
