Winter Engagement Session at McTaggart Sanctuary: Amanda & Jordan

Winter Engagement Session at McTaggart Sanctuary

This past week, Kristina met Amanda and Jordan at McTaggart Sanctuary for their engagement session, and it could not have been a more beautiful winter day.

McTaggart Sanctuary is one of Edmonton’s hidden gems for engagement photos. The winding forest paths, open natural areas, and river valley views create so much variety in one location. In the winter, it’s especially stunning. Fresh snow softens the landscape, reflects the light beautifully, and gives everything that quiet, romantic feel that photographs so well.

Amanda and Jordan were completely effortless in front of the camera — so natural and completely photogenic. The snowy backdrop paired with their easy connection made every frame feel timeless.

And if you haven’t been recently, there’s a new pedestrian bridge that feels like a mini nod to the iconic Walterdale Bridge. It adds such a fun architectural element tucked right into the trees and gives the session a modern touch within the natural setting.

If you’re considering an engagement session in Edmonton, McTaggart Sanctuary in the winter is always a beautiful choice. Snowy sessions have a magic all their own.
