Kristina had the pleasure of photographing Karyn & Trevor’s beautiful wedding at Gardenview Estates, one of our favourite wedding venues near Edmonton. With its gorgeous grounds and romantic setting, Gardenview Estates is always a favourite for wedding photography, and Karyn & Trevor’s rainy wedding day showed exactly why.
A Rainy Wedding Day at Gardenview Estates
While no couple necessarily plans for rain on their wedding day, sometimes the unexpected weather creates some of the most beautiful photographs.
Karyn & Trevor’s day was filled with moody skies and passing rain, creating an incredible backdrop for their wedding portraits. The stormy clouds added so much depth and drama to the landscape, while the rain brought a romantic, intimate feeling to the day.
As Edmonton wedding photographers, we absolutely love embracing whatever Alberta weather brings. Rather than letting rain take away from the experience, we look for ways to incorporate it into the photographs and create something unique to the couple and their wedding day.
And these stormy skies? We are completely obsessed.

Gardenview Estates is one of those venues that gives a wedding photographer so many opportunities to create beautiful, varied images. From the surrounding landscape to the elegant venue itself, there are plenty of locations for portraits, candid moments, and dramatic wedding photographs.
Karyn & Trevor’s wedding was a perfect example of why we love photographing weddings at Gardenview Estates. The combination of the beautiful property, their genuine connection, and those incredible storm clouds created a gallery that feels completely their own.

One of our favourite things about wedding photography is that you can’t always plan the best photographs.

Sometimes it’s the dramatic clouds that roll in just as you’re heading outside for portraits.
And sometimes, those unexpected moments become the images you love the most.
