Lori & Clayton’s Edmonton Wedding at Assumption Catholic Church & Mirage Banquet Hall
Lori & Clayton’s Edmonton Wedding at Assumption Catholic Church & Mirage Banquet Hall
There’s something so special about photographing weddings where past couples are part of the day. For Lori & Clayton’s beautiful wedding, I had the joy of seeing Kayla & Mike again—Kayla is Lori’s niece, and I photographed her wedding back in 2018 in Mexico! It’s always such an honor to be invited back into a family’s biggest milestones and to document love stories that weave through generations.
The day started with a heartfelt ceremony at Assumption Catholic Church, officiated by Father Roger Niedzielski. The church’s traditional architecture and timeless beauty set the perfect backdrop as Lori & Clayton exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones.
After the ceremony, we headed to Mill Creek Ravine for portraits. Even though Edmonton hasn’t fully turned to fall yet, we caught those first hints of yellow peeking through the trees. The weather was hot—summer holding on strong—but the laughter and joy made it all feel light and celebratory.
The evening celebrations were held at Mirage Banquet Hall, a gorgeous Edmonton wedding venue known for its elegant atmosphere and spacious reception space. Their planner, Pami from Classic Touch, did an amazing job coordinating the day and designing the decor. The catering was provided by Mirage Banquet Hall, and the dance floor was alive thanks to Jeremy from Divinity DJ.
The bride, Lori, looked stunning in her Martina Liana gown from The Bridal Boutique, with a soft crepe skirt in Ivory. Her bridesmaids wore dresses from David’s Bridal. Hair and makeup for the bride and bridal party were done by Kate and Kristen at Blush Artistry, and a shoutout to her nail tech, Vivian at Twisted Tips YEG. Clayton looked sharp in his tux rented from Moores.
The flowers, designed by John at Laurels on Whyte, were absolutely gorgeous, and the cake and cupcakes from Fuss Cupcakes were both beautiful and delicious. Lori’s wedding ring and engagement band were custom-designed and brought to life by Lim Goldsmiths. Transportation was handled by Prestige Limo, making the day seamless from start to finish.
I was joined by my talented second shooter, Naomi, which allowed us to capture every little detail and candid moment as the day unfolded.
Lori & Clayton’s wedding was not only a celebration of their love but also a reminder of why I adore this job so much—the connections, the joy, and the chance to photograph couples (and families) over and over again as their lives grow and change.
