Sherwood Park Marsh Winter Engagement Session | Mckenzey & Braydyn

Sherwood Park Marsh Winter Engagement Session | Mckenzey & Braydyn

There is something so special about a winter engagement session at the marsh in Sherwood Park—especially when the light shows up the way it did for Mckenzey & Braydyn’s session this evening.

We met just before sunset, and the glow we were gifted was nothing short of magical. That soft, golden winter light paired with the gentle, muted tones of the season created the dreamiest backdrop. The marsh is always a favourite of mine, but in the winter, it takes on a whole new kind of beauty—quiet, subtle, and incredibly romantic.

Mckenzey & Braydyn made the entire session feel so easy. They were full of laughter from the moment we started, constantly giggling and just enjoying being together. Those are always my favourite couples to photograph—the ones who lean into the moment and aren’t afraid to just be themselves. It creates the kind of images that feel natural, emotional, and full of life.

One of the things I love most about winter engagement sessions here in Sherwood Park is the colour palette. It’s not bold or vibrant like fall, but instead soft and understated. The neutral tones, the pale grasses, and the way everything catches the light—it all comes together in such a timeless and elegant way.

This session was the perfect reminder that winter might just be one of the most underrated times for engagement photos. Between the peaceful setting, the stunning light, and a couple as fun as these two, it truly doesn’t get better.

Mckenzey & Braydyn, thank you for such a beautiful evening. I’m so excited for what’s ahead for you both!
