Spring Maternity Photos for a Growing Family | Twin Pregnancy Photography
There are sessions that feel extra special from the very beginning—and this one was exactly that.
I first met Ashley and Nick when it was just the two of them. Since then, their story has grown in the most beautiful way. Now, with their sweet daughter Anastasia by their side, they’re preparing to welcome not just one, but two new babies into their family. Yes—twins.
A twin pregnancy is such a unique and powerful season of life. There’s an undeniable mix of anticipation, excitement, and (let’s be honest) a little bit of wonder about what life will look like in just a few short months. As a photographer, it’s such an honour to document this fleeting chapter—especially for a soon-to-be twin mom.
We planned their maternity session in the spring, which couldn’t have been more perfect. Spring maternity photos have a softness to them that’s hard to replicate in any other season. The fresh greens, gentle light, and feeling of everything coming back to life mirrored exactly what this family is experiencing right now—growth, change, and new beginnings.
Anastasia brought so much personality to the session, and it was so fun watching her interact with her parents. You can already tell she’s going to be the sweetest big sister… even if life is about to get a little busier. And by busier, I mean wonderfully chaotic in the best possible way.
Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s this: families welcoming twins quickly learn to embrace the chaos. The laughter gets louder, the moments get fuller, and the memories become even more meaningful.
Ashley absolutely glowed during her maternity session. There’s something incredibly strong and beautiful about a woman carrying twins, and I always aim to capture that strength alongside the quieter, more intimate moments. The way Nick looks at her, the way they both look at Anastasia—it all tells the story of a family right on the edge of something life-changing.
These are the moments worth remembering.
I already know that when I see this family again, things will look a little different—two more little faces, a little less sleep, and a whole lot more love. And I have a feeling future family sessions might include just a bit more chaos… but truly, the very best kind.
If you’re expecting and considering spring maternity photos—whether it’s your first baby or you’re stepping into life as a twin mom—this season is such a beautiful time to document it all.
Because it goes by faster than you think.
