Katie & Quintin’s Beautiful Lions Garden Wedding

Megan had the pleasure of photographing Katie & Quintin’s beautiful wedding at Lions Garden, and this day was such a joy to capture. From the gorgeous setting to the thoughtful details, the excitement of the wedding party, and all those little moments happening throughout the day, their wedding was filled with so much personality and love.

Lions Garden is an absolutely stunning wedding venue, with beautiful spaces for portraits and plenty of opportunities to capture both the big moments and the in-between ones that make a wedding day uniquely yours.

First Looks, Wedding Party Moments & All the In-Between

One of our favourite parts of a wedding day is the first look — and Katie & Quintin’s was especially fun because it included the groomsmen too!

There is something so special about seeing everyone’s reactions and capturing that anticipation before the ceremony begins. These are the kinds of photographs that bring you right back to how the day felt, years down the road.

Of course, it’s not just the major moments that we love photographing. The laughter between friends, the little interactions with family, the excitement before the ceremony, and all of the spontaneous moments throughout the day are just as important.

Those in-between moments often become some of our favourite photographs.

A Classic Car for the Perfect Wedding Portraits

And then there was the classic car!

How cool is this? It was such a fun element to incorporate into Katie & Quintin’s wedding portraits and added an incredible timeless feel to their images. We love when couples bring personal details, unique transportation, or something unexpected into their wedding day because it gives their photographs another layer of personality.

Katie & Quintin’s wedding was the perfect example of how beautiful wedding photography can be when you leave room in the day for creativity, connection, and a little bit of fun.

The Details That Made Their Day

Katie found her wedding dress at Urban Bride in Edmonton. The bridesmaid dresses were from Azazie, giving the wedding party a cohesive and beautiful look.

For hair and makeup, Katie worked with Lume Makeup and Hairstyle and Neron Artistry. Groom’s attire came from Lammle’s, adding to the western-inspired touches throughout the day. Lammle’s is a Canadian family-owned western lifestyle retailer with a long history in Alberta.

The flowers were a DIY combination sourced from Amazon and Michaels, while the decor was a mix of pieces provided by the venue and homemade details. We always love seeing couples put their own personal touch into their wedding decor.

For dinner, guests enjoyed catering from Brisket Butts BBQ Team, and Katie & Quintin’s friend Cody Picard officiated their ceremony.

Transportation was provided by the Tofield shuttle, and Matt Fossey Entertainment kept the celebration going with music and entertainment. Matt Fossey Entertainment provides wedding DJ, MC, photo booth, ceremony audio, and other event services throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.

And of course, no wedding celebration is complete without cake! Katie & Quintin chose Little Sweeter in Camrose for their wedding cake.
