I had the joy of doing something a little different — and it was truly special. I met Kristen, Adam, Serenity, and Emmett for a family session right in their own home, gathered around their Christmas tree. Instead of posing in a studio or heading outdoors, we focused on capturing simple, real moments: decorating, laughing, and enjoying all the little Christmas traditions that make the season magical.

Kristen said something that really stuck with me: “There are only so many Christmases when the kids are little.” And what a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful way to celebrate is to pause and capture the season as it really is — full of warmth, joy, and togetherness.

From tiny hands reaching for ornaments to giggles over shared moments, these sessions are a way to preserve the fleeting magic of childhood. It’s not about perfection; it’s about memory. It’s about the real, the messy, the wonderful moments that will be cherished for years to come.
