Motorbike Wedding in Drayton Valley | Rainy Day Alberta Wedding Photographer

If you’re searching for a Drayton Valley wedding photographer or dreaming of a wedding that truly reflects your personality, this incredible celebration is all the inspiration you need.

Megan had the absolute honour of photographing one of the most unique weddings this past weekend just outside of Drayton Valley, Alberta—and it’s one we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

A One-of-a-Kind Motorbike Wedding in Drayton Valley

This wasn’t your typical wedding day. Instead of limos or classic transportation, the couple rode their motorbikes to each location, creating such a fun, adventurous atmosphere from start to finish. Every part of the day felt intentional, relaxed, and completely true to who they are.

Embracing a Beautiful Rainy Wedding Day in Alberta

The rain showed up—and instead of letting it take away from the day, they embraced it fully. And honestly, it made everything even more beautiful.

Rainy wedding days in Alberta have a way of creating the most romantic and vibrant backdrops. The greens were incredibly rich, the light was soft and flattering, and every moment felt calm and connected. It was the perfect setting for such a meaningful day.

A Wedding Built with Family and Heart

One of the most special parts of this wedding was how much of it was created by the couple and their loved ones. From planning to decor to food, this day was filled with personal touches that made it feel so genuine and heartfelt.

The bride found her dress at The Bridal Boutique, while the bridesmaid dresses were from David’s Bridal. The groom wore Moores and added his own studded details for a custom, edgy look.

Hair was styled by Shay Watson and makeup was done by Leah Johnston, creating a look that was both timeless and effortless.

Flowers were sourced from Costco and arranged by the bridal party themselves, adding such a meaningful, hands-on element to the day. The decor was also completely self-done, bringing their vision to life in a way that felt authentic and true to them.

Planning was led by Linda Stevenson (mother of the bride) and Cassie Stevenson (sister of the bride), who did an incredible job pulling everything together seamlessly.

A Celebration to Remember

The ceremony was officiated by Wilma Thompson, followed by a reception full of energy thanks to a live band, Rockford Stomp, who kept the celebration going all night.

Food was prepared by a close group including Linda Stevenson, the couple themselves, and family and friends—with a standout pig roast by Mitch, Celine, and Len.

Guests enjoyed cupcakes by Ava Boleska along with a cake by Linda Hartum, the perfect sweet ending to such a memorable day.

Drayton Valley Wedding Photographer

As an Edmonton and Drayton Valley wedding photographer, days like this are such a reminder of why we love what we do. Weddings don’t have to follow a template—they can be anything you want them to be.

This motorbike wedding was full of personality, connection, and unforgettable moments, and Megan captured every bit of it so beautifully.
